Canary Wood

  • Form: Lumber, veneers, boards, and occasionally slabs.
  • Grade: FAS / Select and Better; clear grades.
  • Moisture: KD to (8 – 12%) moisture content (MC) recommended for stability.
  • Dimensions Available: Boards, planks, and veneers; commonly, Thickness: 19 – 50 mm / Width: 100 – 300 mm / Standard Lengths: 2 – 5 m, (custom sizes possible).
  • Janka Hardness: 2,160 lbf (9,600 N) – very hard, durable wood.
  • Grain: Interlocked or straight; medium to coarse texture; natural luster.
  • Color: Golden yellow to rich orange-red, may darken slightly with age; streaks of brown or red are common.
  • Water Resistance: Moderate; naturally resistant to moisture, but better performance when sealed or finished.
