Oak Wood

  • Species: Belongs to the Quercus Genus. The two main types are: White Oak (Quercus Alba) / Red Oak (Quercus Rubra).
  • Origin: North America, Eastern USA, Canada.
  • Durability: High, with White Oak being more decay-resistant and denser / Red Oak is slightly less durable but still strong.
  • Highlights: Known for its prominent grain, strength, and longevity, it also takes stains and finishes exceptionally well.

  • Color: White Oak: Light Brown to Pale Tan / Red Oak: Light to Medium Reddish-brown.
  • Water Resistance: White Oak: Excellent, due to its closed grain structure / Red Oak: Moderate, with open pores that absorb moisture more easily.
